ROCK is thrilled by the overwhelming support for our "In God We Trust" specialty license plate. In anticipation of final approval - which we hope will be soon- ROCK has launched a brand new promotional video on the ROCK website! This short but powerful piece conveys why promoting and preserving our national motto and heritage of "In God We Trust" is so important to our national home land and the important work ROCK is doing across Kentucky to build stronger communities and families every day.

THANK YOU to those who have already signed our on-line petition to help preserve our heritage by bringing our national motto to Kentucky roadways. Your voices are being heard and you are making a difference! This is a critical moment for Kentucky to stand up for the principles behind our nation's motto - "In God We Trust" - and protect our heritage.  At the same time we will bring hope and assistance to some of the most vulnerable citizens of the Commonwealth - exploited and victimized women and children.  Our efforts today will set them on a bright new path for generations to come!

If you have yet to add your name to the on-line petition then let your voice be heard NOW and be an important part of ensuring that  the ROCK "In God We Trust" specialty license plate is approved by the Department of Transportation and made available to every citizen of the Commonwealth!  Don't miss your chance to be a part of Kentucky history!

You can also help make ROCK's "In God We Trust" plate a reality by simply forwarding this email to your family, friends, co-workers and others so they can have the opportunity to bring our national motto home to Kentucky.  Share the video and encourage them to add their name to the on-line petition. We look forward in the very near future to announcing the approval and availability of the "In God We Trust" specialty license plate.

Thank you for standing with us as we build stronger communities and families, one issue and one project at a time! For more information, please contact Marquita Farmer at (502) 297-9892 or mfarmer@reclaimourculture.org.

Regional Defend My Community press conference featured first hand testimony from convicted child predators.

A coalition from the business, government, health care, law enforcement, education and faith communities joined together for the protection of children from the harms of the sex industry on April 17th at Kye’s II in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This dynamic regional campaign unveiled the latest billboard located at Exit 5, I-65S in Clarksville, Indiana. The focus of this billboard’s message is the threat pornography and the sex industry pose to our most vulnerable citizens – our children.

The special guest was a former Assistant United States Attorney who prosecuted obscenity and child exploitation cases for nearly 20 years. He spoke to the crowd of nearly 250 about the role pornography plays in harming children, including predators and others that harm our children. Attendees heard testimony from convicted predators as to how adult pornography fueled an addiction that resulted in harming children. From the tragic story of one who is now dying of Aids to another who’s addiction to adult pornography “awakened a monster within” who then turned to abuse innocent children.

ROCK president Bryan Wickens stated, “This press conference was of paramount importance to our region. It far surpassed the prior events. People are talking about our efforts everywhere I go and momentum is building. The testimony presented is the real deal. It is no longer possible to ignore or minimize the negative effects of pornography as anything less than appalling and catastrophic when not addressed by every community in this nation. We are standing strong for our children and their futures.”

By Evan S. Benn

Florida sex offenders on probation can possess pornography so long as it does not relate to an offender's ''particular deviant behavior pattern,'' the state's Supreme Court ruled Thursday.
The 5-2 decision overturned a 2006 Third District Court of Appeal ruling on a Miami case in which the appellate court said offenders cannot have any sexually explicit material.

In the Miami case at issue, Donald Kasischke pleaded guilty in 2001 to three counts each of lewd or lascivious battery and exhibition on a 15-year-old boy. He was sentenced to a year in prison followed by two years of community control and eight years of...
